xpressQ customer guidance system
The branch and customer information system for high customer traffic
XpressQue offers – particularly in city centre branches and shops with high customer traffic – the opportunity to significantly reduce waiting times and thereby achieve a long-lasting increase in customer satisfaction. Particularly with customers with small to medium-sized purchases and little time, fast handling of the process at the till leads to a significant increase in customer loyalty and hence to rising sales.

The customer guidance system consists of a central switching unit which can control up to 8 tills. Using corresponding expansion modules, the unit can be expanded by as many tills as desired. With the “ON/OFF” and “NEXT CUSTOMER” buttons on the control panel at each till, the staff control the status. Acoustic signals via the loudspeakers and visual signals on the customer display screen and/or the till lights ensure optimum orientation.

The till lights guide the customers via a green light to the next free till; a red light indicates that the till will close shortly. There are almost no limits when it comes to the design of the till lights and the control displays. We will happily adapt them to your shops or branches. We can also integrate optional additional functions, for example ‘manager call’ or general customer information into the system.

By means of a data interface, the system can be connected directly to the till PC and make relevant signals available there. For example, through the opening of the cash drawer, the next customer can be called automatically. A screen positioned in the manager’s office shows the till activities with the aid of a graphic analysis tool and provides an overview of the current till staffing.

The system is essentially composed of the following modules:
- xpress central controller
- One control panel per till
- One till light per till
- Amplifier
- Ceiling loudspeaker

With expanded functionality, adapters are attached which enable the connection of external components e.g. of the warehouse door or a checkout barrier. The system and the till lights are operated with 24V.

The main controller
The V8 express controller brings together all information, which is directly processed there or transmitted further. The system enables the customer to equip their branch with as many express tills as they wish.

The basic version consists of two buttons (on/off and customer call) and if desired can be expanded to include e.g. a store manager call. It is impressive thanks to its sensationally simple installation and user-friendliness.

The till light (example)
The integrated till lights for visual signalling regulate the flow to the tills and can be individually adapted to the interior design.

The audio amplifier
Audio system with 100-volt technology (picture) for call functions in the store and employee area. In addition, this system is designed to be connected to an existing instore radio system.

Designed for use with 100 volt technology or a conventional ohm circuit. For integration in false ceilings (e.g. Odenwald ceiling).

Audio Prio Box
For connection and reproduction of the staff or customer announcements generated by the customer guidance system to an existing in-store radio system. This ensures the priority of the announcements issued throughout the store area.

Infrared sensor (motionQ)
For detection of the queues forming in the till area. This sensor is used with vertical measurement. If this version is installed, a ceiling height of at least 2.4 m must be present.

Ultrasound sensor (motionQ)
For detection of the queues forming in the till area or directly at the cash desk. This sensor covers a horizontal detection range of 0.2 to 4 m and is popular for express systems with an integrated monitor display.

Backdoor Bell
Through the connection to the bell for delivery people, this adapter generates a signal or an announcement for the staff e.g.: “Staff to delivery area please” or a previously defined signal.
